Some of my biggest inspiration comes from old family photo albums, grainy film scans, and prints with coffee & age stains.

No matter what I’m documenting, I’m imagining who might someday hold prints of those moments in their hands. As a photographer and storyteller, I know I’m not just creating for the couple, but also for whoever these photos will get passed down to.

I want the person who looks at these images in three decades to be able to feel the moment and imagine they know who the couple was at that point in time; I want them to hear the crickets chirping in the long grass, feel the heat of the desert pricking their skin, and imagine the white dust on their boots from the trail.

I want them to feel a sense of connection, both to the people in the photos and the place they were adventuring.

After some happy-dancing on my end, I’ll answer any questions you have and send over my client guides and questionnaires to help make this process as seamless as possible so we can focus on the good stuff: the story. I believe that photos should be an extension of you and your values. That’s why I approach our time together as a friend—not just a vendor. Because friends know what you care about, they know what makes you tick and what makes your heart beat hardest and they get windows into your life that outsiders don’t.

If you’re looking to run through a list of poses, get some pretty photos, or hunt for the best price, we may not be the best fit. A Story-Centered Approach

With experience working as an outdoor guide, hours of outdoor education (including an active Wilderness First Responder Certification), and many personal adventure trips I’ve taken on my own, you can trust that no matter what kind of adventure you have in mind, you can count me in.

I’ve documented love stories and adventures all around the country, from the Redwoods of Northern California to the reefs of Maui, Hawai’i. I believe that emotions and memories are deeply tied to place—all the sights, smells, and sounds that make a location feel the way it does.
